Martives has been employed by the Carrollton Parks and Recreation Department since 2006 in the Maintenance Division. His duties include cleaning and maintenance of the Catherine Hardy Lavender Center and Legends West Park. He is a Carrollton High School graduate, where he played football for two years and enjoys listening to music, cooking, hunting and fishing.
